The idea in this scene was that the girl-panda, who was betrothed to Po as a child, waited her whole life for his return. Po gets very weirded out by her creepiness throughout the movie, and the twist is that she decides to break up with HIM right before the big battle. Great idea and script pages by Harry Cripps. I love doing emotional little scenes like this. The focus shifts to subtle little micro expressions and eye darts. I had a lot of help from my wife, Viki, who's a phenomenal animator. Scene did not make it to final version as this character became less prominent in the story.
Took about two days to board.
